Nova Casa Ry is committed to promoting a smoke-free and nicotine-free environment. The club’s board has decided to prohibit the use of tobacco and nicotine products in all club activities.
These guidelines will also be included in written agreements with young participants attending the club’s courses. The goal is to support young people in developing a healthy, athletic lifestyle and to prevent substance use in the sports environment.
The club’s own facilities and their immediate surroundings are smoke-free and free from nicotine products.
Nova Casa Ry’s policy is reflected in practice as follows:
- The use of tobacco and nicotine products (e.g., cigarettes, snus, e-cigarettes, vapes, etc.) is not permitted in the club’s facilities, events, or competitions.
- All participants in the club’s activities – athletes, instructors, coaches, and supporting personnel – commit to maintaining a smoke-free lifestyle.
- The club supports its instructors in addressing the use of snus, tobacco products, and other substances with young athletes when necessary.
- If there is suspicion that a participant under 18 years of age uses, buys, sells, or possesses tobacco products, the club primarily offers support to help them quit, and will address any illegal activity appropriately.
Nova Casa Ry continues to develop and strengthen its smoke-free and nicotine-free practices to ensure a healthy, safe, and substance-free environment for all members.
